Nancy Schmitt has combined her training, skills, and talent to offer unmatched expertise and experience to her design clients. Educated as both a civil engineer and an interior designer, Nancy truly knows the "ins and outs" of spaces and structures. Nancy's clients benefit from her unique combination of creativity mixed with practical design solutions.

Worked with NYC architect Patrick Gerard Carmody, to combine and reconfigure two pre-war apartments, modernize layout, unify finishes and increase utility. Project resulted in 12-room family apartment that sold for +$2 million (30%) over cost.

Renovated 5-room family apartment to maximize useful square footage for family of 4 by creating multi-purpose areas, adding custom built-ins for storage, and reclaiming space formerly dedicated to utilities.

Upgraded large family apartment to meet professional entertaining needs of law-firm new partner; scope included new finishes throughout, lighting, furniture selection and placement, built-ins and window treatments.

Redesigned builder's spec vacation home to reflect unique island location; scope included all interior fixtures, finishes and furnishings for greatroom, kitchen, owners' suite, bedrooms, bathrooms, outdoor deck and shower, pool, landscape and hardscape.
